The City of Ironwood and Mt. Zion Ski Hill play host to the first round of the WPSA Wisconsin State Series Snocross December 15th and 16th, 2007. Mt. Zion Ski Hill, located on the campus of Gogebic College, is just a few minutes outside of Ironwood. "We had such a great event last year, I can't think of a better way to start our 2007-2008 Wisconsin Snocross season than to be in Ironwood, Michigan." said PowerSports Entertainment Inc. Executive Vice President Kent Lungstrom. "The support from the town and Superior Snocross, along with Yamaha's sponsorship of the regional series, should make this race even bigger than last year." "Superior Snocross Inc. along with Gogebic Community College would like to welcome the WPSA and all racers! Last years event was something special for our community", said Jim Peterson, President of Superior Snocross Inc. "This years race should be more spectacular as it will be held on Mt. Zion. There will be activities for the racers and their families to attend Friday and Saturday evening and you can check the information section on the WPSA web site for the latest information" "The Ironwood Area Chamber of Commerce is pleased to have the World Power Sports Association (WPSA) back in our area for the second year", said Kim Kolesar of the Ironwood Chamber.
