IRONWOOD, MI - Friday, April 11, 2008 - Yesterday, City crews were called to repair a broken water main on the corner of Florence Street and Lake Road. Water service to area homes was temporarily interrupted, or in some cases, water was discolored while City workers repaired the broken line. A few months back a similar break was repaired near the Walgreens construction project. City water crews worked diligently to repair the break, and water was soon restored to area homes and businesses.

With the changing temperatures and the City's aging infrastructure, breaks of this type are not uncommon, this time of the year. Ironwood has a very limited water crew, but luckily, they are hard-working, skilled, and dedicated to serving their customers.
