Stockpiling for Greenbush Project

IRONWOOD, MI - Friday, August 15, 2008 - Materials have begun arriving for the Greenbush Street project. It appears that the project, which will be a total reconstruction of the street from US-2 (Cloverland Drive) to Margaret Street, will begin on schedule.

Ross Peterson Construction will be the general contractor for the construction of the approximately 1,350 linear foot by 24-foot wide urban road and miscellaneous utility reconstruction. Peterson was the low bidder on the project with a bid of $425,928.50. The project is funded through a combination of Michigan Department of Transportation Category "F" grant along with City of Ironwood Major Street Funds.

Currently Ross Peterson Construction is doing three projects for the City - the Alfred Wright Boulevard reconstruction project; the fire-hydrant replacement project; and the Greeenbush reconstruction project.
