Stormy Kromer Cap One of Two U.P. Products in Field & Stream Magazine

IRONWOOD, MI - Thursday, August 07, 2008 - Two out of seven-- a pretty good number indeed when you consider that's the number of Upper Peninsula-made products that made the cut for Field & Stream Magazine's Gear Hall of Fame in their August 2008 issue.

The Stormy Kromer Cap, worn by folks in the Upper Peninsula for generations and made here since 2001, was chosen for its personalized fit, dependable warmth and ability to stay put in the face of wind and stray branches. The Stormy Kromer Cap is a classic piece of outdoor clothing that has been around for over 100 years, more than qualifying it for the Gear Hall of Fame. The article's title page featured a photo of a Stormy Kromer Cap of about 50 years old, highlighting how little the cap has changed over the years. Stormy Kromer Caps and products are available at clothing and outdoor product retailers all over the Upper Peninsula as well as throughout the United States and even as far away as the United Kingdom and Japan.

"It's an honor to have been chosen, and I think it's great that the Stormy Kromer Cap was in there with another U.P. product, the Marble Safety Axe." Said Stormy Kromer owner Bob Jacquart. "I'm thrilled that our product gets to help show the rest of the world just how great the Upper Peninsula is."
