Parks & Recreation Committee to Meet Tonight

IRONWOOD, MI - Monday, August 04, 2008 - The Recreation/Cultural/Life Enrichment Committee is scheduled to meet in the Women's Club Room on the second floor of the Ironwood Memorial Building this evening at 6:00 PM. The last meeting of the group more commonly referred to as the "Parks and Recreation" Committee on July 07, 2008, failed to draw a quorum. One of the main agenda items that were supposed to be discussed at the canceled meeting was a name change.

The Committee is expected to review the progress on the City's hiking trail system and is also expected to consider renaming the Committee. Many believe the current name is cumbersome; difficult to remember; and awkward to refer to in conversation.
