Siren Tests Complete In Ironwood

IRONWOOD, MI - Friday, August 15, 2008 - Yesterday the City of Ironwood was conducting emergency siren tests. The purpose of the tests was to determine how many sirens will be needed to adequately alert the citizens of Ironwood in the case of an emergency. The City must now decide which signal best expresses a dangerous situation. The City has narrowed the field of choices down to three. Please listen to the three sounds below and let your favorite Commissioner know which sound best expresses fear to you:

• Siren Option Number One 
• Siren Option Number Two 
• Siren Option Number Three 

Nothing brings piece of mind like total reliance on antiquated technology in the case of emergency. At least the City will once again be able to summon children home when it's curfew time.
