SnoCross Returns to GCC this Weekend

IRONWOOD, MI - Friday, December 5, 2008 -Professional snocross competition is coming to Ironwood for the next two weekends.

 This weekend, December 5, 6 and 7, the Superior SnoCross Midwest Regional Race will offer quality regional competion. The event will occur between 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM at the Mt. Zion Ski Hill on the campus of Gogebic Community College. Admission to this weekend's race is $10 per day or $15 for the weekend. Children 12 years of age or under are when accompanied with at least one parent.

The nationals well be held on December 12 through the 14.  The GCC Superior SnoCross race course offers plenty of excitement with high-flying aerial displays, jumps, jolts, and high-speed runs. Last weekend the national racers were in Duluth for the start of the Amsoil Snocross Championship Series. Now in its 17th year, the event brings together some of the world's best snowmobilers.
