Bitter Cold Weather On the Way

IRONWOOD, MI - Friday, February 07, 2008 - The National Weather Service in Marquette issued the following weather advisory at 3:09 PM CST, "A low pressure system will form over south central Canada on Friday and move across Lake Superior on Saturday. A cold front with the system will push across Upper Michigan late Saturday as strong northwest winds usher Arctic air into the region. Expect temperatures to fall Saturday afternoon with bitterly cold wind chills Saturday night into Sunday night. In addition... lake effect snow showers and areas of blowing snow will develop late Saturday afternoon and continue into Sunday. A gradual warm up is expected early next week."
