DIDA Make-Up Meeting Scheduled For Friday

IRONWOOD, MI - Thursday, February 28, 2008 - A special make-up meeting of the Downtown Ironwood Development Authority is scheduled for Friday, February 29, 2008 at 12:00 PM. The meeting will be held in the Community Development Office on the second floor of the Memorial Building.

The DIDA's involvement in the Blueprints for Downtowns program will be discussed as well as the proposed wayfinder signage.

The February 21, 2008 DIDA meeting could not be held because there weren't enough members present. There are nine members on the DIDA, and five or more members must be present for a quorum.

The DIDA members are (in alphabetical order): (1) Elaine Erickson, Carnegie librarian,(2) Chairman George Goerig, owner of DLG Services; (3) Don Hitt, owner of Hitt's Fine Furniture; (4) Rachael Hubbard, manager of Superior Shoes; (5) Vice-Chairman Joe Karius, publisher of the Daily Globe; (6) Mayor Bruce Noren; (7) Wayne Ozark, owner of the LanNook; (8) Jackie Powers; and (9) Eva Smith-Furgason, manager of Northwind Natural Foods.
