Snow Advisory In Effect Until 6:00 PM Monday

IRONWOOD, MI - Sunday, Feburary 17, 2008 - The National
Weather Service in Marquette, Michigan released the following advisory at 3:47
AM today... Lake effect Snow and Blowing Snow Advisory in effect from 6:00 PM
CST this evening to 6:00 PM CST Monday...
The National Weather Service
has issued a lake effect Snow and Blowing Snow Advisory... which is in effect
from 6:00 PM CST this evening to 6:00 PM CST Monday. The Winter Storm Watch
is no longer in effect.
Look for light lake effect snow showers to
develop this afternoon... then increase in intensity this evening. Expect the
lake effect snow showers to persist into Monday. By Monday evening... total snow
accumulations of 4 to 9 inches are expected... with the greatest amounts from
Ironwood to The Porcupine mountains and White Pine. In addition... increasing
northerly winds tonight into Monday will produce blowing and drifting snow...
especially in open areas.

Advisory Means Lake effect snow and blowing snow is forecast that will make
travel difficult in some areas. In addition... visibilities will be limited due
to blustery winds creating blowing and drifting snow. Use caution when
traveling.
