LAKE EFFECT SNOW & BLOWING SNOW ADVISORY

WIND CHILL ADVISORY

A Wind Chill Advisory in effect from 2 PM this afternoon to 7 am CST, Monday, February 11, 2008.

Expect numerous lake effect snow showers through Sunday afternoon to accumulate up to an additional inch. The combination of falling snow and blowing snow whipped up by northwest winds, which could gust up to 50 mph at times, will result in
visibilities of one quarter of a mile or less at times into Sunday afternoon. In addition, plan on wind chills of 40 below to 45 below zero to moderate to 25 to 35 below this afternoon, then remain nearly steady through tonight.

A wind chill warning means the combination of very cold air and strong winds will create dangerously low wind chill values. This will result in frost bite and lead to hypothermia or death if precautions are not taken.

A lake effect Snow and Blowing Snow Advisory Means Lake effect snow and blowing snow is forecast that will make travel difficult in some areas. In addition... visibilities will be limited due to blustery winds creating blowing and drifting snow. Use caution when traveling.
