Bessemer Girls Defeat Ironwood

IRONWOOD - Tuesday, January 08, 2008 - The Bessemer's Speed Girls basketball team defeated Pat Krause's Ironwood's Red Devils Girls Tuesday 45 to 34. Although Ironwood gave a good effort, Bessemer lead the entire game, ultimately winning by 11. As a result of Tuesday's game, the Red Devils fall to 2 and 8 on the season, and Bessemer climbs to 3 and 6. In other basketball action, High School Boys: Watersmeet defeated Phelps (68 to 47); High School Girls: Hancock (50) over Ontonagon (43); Houghton (55) over Calument (34); Watersmeet (56) over Wakefield-Marenisco (24) and L'anse (70) over ETC (37).
