City Digs Out After 21 Inches of New Snow Falls Here

The mountain of snow by the Wells Fargo Bank on Aurora Street, Downtown Ironwood grew rapidly Monday night and through Tuesday. A winter storm dumped 21 inches of snow on the Ironwood landscape in a 20 hour period.

City crews worked throughout the night to clear the snow off the streets and sidewalks following the storm.

Today there's a 40% chance of snow, with a 60% chance for tonight and tomorrow, and a 60% chance for Friday. Snow is not expected for Saturday.

Now, here's a driver that's really prepared for our wintery weather. Nothing says U.P. winter like a 4x4 or a Stormy Kromer cap!
