Registered Pedophile Faces Felony Drug Charges

HURLEY, WI - Tuesday, July 01, 2008 - Donald C. Morrison, 36, Ironwood was formally charged with a felony drug count of conspiracy to deliver a controlled substance in Iron County Circuit Court Tuesday. He faces up to 25 years in prison and a $100,000 fine.

Morrison, a local businessman, operates the Pipe & Bike store on Aurora Street in Ironwood. In addition to selling pedal bikes, the store features smoking pipes, bongs, "blunt" papers and other "tobacco only" smoking paraphernalia. His charges are a result of incidents that evidently occurred in February and March of this year.

The GIANT drug team was instrumental in Morrison's investigation and arrest. GIANT is a multi-jurisdictional drug task force composed of officers from the Ironwood Public Safety Department, the Hurley Police, and the Sheriff's Departments from both Iron and Gogebic County.
