IRONWOOD, MI - Saturday, July 26, 2008 - One of our ace photographers managed to capture Courtland Geib and his electric car parked on McLeod Avenue, yesterday. Geib is very proud of his e4 GEM vehicle. He says he can travel up to 30 miles on an overnight charge, and the it costs him roughly $0.02 per mile.

On the front window of the vehicle, Geib has placed sign to let others know about the GEM electric cars. The sign says, "Hi! My name is Electra. I'm battery powered. Want to know more? Go to www.gemcar.com ."

According to the website, Global Electric Motorcars (GEM) start at just under $7,000 for a two passenger model to over $12,000 for a six-seater. There are many models and options to choose from.
