IPSD Quick to Respond to Early Evening Domestic Disturbance Call

IRONWOOD, MI - Wednesday, June 25, 2008 - Ironwood Public Safety Department Officers Matthew Sterbenz and David Edward responded to a Downtown Ironwood domestic disturbance 911 complaint, yesterday evening at approximately 7:30 PM.

Officers quickly arrived on the scene and were able to take control of the situation. An unidentified young lady, a tenant in a downtown apartment, complained that one of her gentleman visitors struck another of her gentleman visitors in the head. When officers arrived on the scene, the alleged perpetrator had left the scene.

Police noticed the alleged victim was somewhat incoherent, so they called for an ambulance. The alleged victim was treated and released from the Grand View Hospital yesterday evening.

All parties involved in the case appear to have been drinking prior to the incident.
