IRONWOOD, MI - Friday, June 06, 2008 - Yesterday, George Kuklenski, owner of Ironwood Glass, and Rick Lanctoe put the finishing touches on the newly installed thermopane display windows at Mattson's TV and Appliance in Downtown Ironwood. The new windows give the storefront a whole new look.

This development is one of several facade improvements initiated by the Downtown Ironwood Development Authority (DIDA) through the efforts of former Community Development Director Pat Merrill and Jane Bowman.

Mattson's joins North Light Photography, Pizza King Joe's, Coleman Engineering, and several other downtown businesses in this significant Facade Improvement Initiative. The Facade Grant is a 50% match which means store owners can get twice the bang for their buck.

Congratulations to Mattson's TV and Appliance for their new look, and hat's off to George Kuklenski and Rick Lanctoe for a job well done!
