Wet Snow / Freezing Rain / Slippery Driving Condition Advisory

IRONWOOD, MI - Tuesday, March 18, 2008 - Wet snow across the western and central Upper Peninsula will continue this morning, according to a National Weather Service statement released at 4:35 AM CST.

The NWS office in Marquette warns, "Snow will continue to impact the western and central Upper Peninsula this morning, tapering off to a drizzle west to east this afternoon. Although total snowfall accumulations of only 1 to three inches are expected, the wet nature of the snowfall will cause roads to become very slippery, especially those that are not treated. If you are traveling across the west or center Upper Peninsula this morning, please use extreme caution."
