Volunteer Firefighters to Hold Car Wash Saturday

It's time to rid your car of that winter grime!

IRONWOOD, MI - Wednesday, May 14, 2008 - The Ironwood Volunteer Fire Department announced yesterday that it is holding it's annual pre-Memorial Day car wash on Saturday, May 17th from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM (rain or shine) at Wal-Mart.

Proceeds will be used for department needs not provided by the city of Ironwood. In the past proceeds were used to buy pager batteries, uniforms, various tools, and donated to various organizations such as the Red Cross, Girls' Softball Sponsorship, Salvation Army, Gary Finco Scholarship, and other worthy causes.

Donations will be gratefully accepted.
