City Commission Holds Rescheduled Meeting Tuesday
IRONWOOD, MI - Monday, May 26, 2008 - Tuesday night's Ironwood City Commission meeting will begin with a 5:15 PM CST Public Hearing to hear comment regarding Ordinance No. 468, Book 4, an Ordinance adopting and enacting a new Chapter to regulate sexually oriented businesses, Chapter 35, Code of Ordinances, City of Ironwood, Michigan, and providing when this ordinance shall be effective. At the 5:30 PM CST meeting, the Commission is expected to approve a word change from "Equalized" to "Taxable" on the ballot language for the Pat O'Donnell Civic Center for the upcoming August 5, 2008 Primary. They are also scheduled to discuss and consider the following Ordinances: Ordinance No. 465, Book 4, an Ordinance to vacate Sepplan Street east of First National Street and the alley that runs north and south and bisects Blocks 1 and 2 of Assessor's Plat No. 13. Ordinance No. 466, Book 4, an Ordinance rezoning 501 Wilson Street from R-1 (Single Family Residential) to C-3 (Highway Commercial). Ordinance No. 467, Book 4, an Ordinance establishing a R-1 (Single Family Residential) overlay for the following C-3 (Highway Commercial) parcels: 619 East Cloverland Drive; 623 East Cloverland Drive; and 625 East Cloverland Drive. In addition, the Commission will consider approval of contract with Globe Industries to purchase City-owned waste mine rock located at the compost site for a two year period at $ .50 per cubic yard. |
