New Owner of the Colonial has Made Major Improvements

IRONWOOD, MI - Tuesday, May 20, 2008 - The former Colonial Skateland was recently sold to Bob D'Antonio of Ironwood. The Lighthouse Family Church, Ironwood, was the former owner of the property. The City of Ironwood deeded the building over to the Church several years ago. The Church was using the building as a skateboard park and a skating rink.

D'Antonio has made some major improvements to the property. New metal siding has been added. A new roof is being installed and a large overhead door was added to the front of the building.

At a recent City Commission meeting concern was expressed that D'Antonio was going to be using the building for business purposes. D'Antonio told the City that he was going to use the building for private storage only.

Woodtech Builders of Ironwood is doing the remodeling work. Neighbors have got to be pleased that the former eyesore is being upgraded.
