Today Is "Spring Clean-Up Drop-Off" Day!

IRONWOOD, MI - Saturday, May 17, 2008 - Today, the City of Ironwood is offering a great opportunity for City residents to get rid of all the junk in their yards. Each May, the City of Ironwood holds a "Spring Clean-Up Day Drop-Off." Today, Ironwood City residents can haul their junk to the drop-off location on Ayer Street, across from the Northwoods Motors car lot, from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM and it will be disposed of free of charge. City Staff, City Commissioners, and other volunteers will assist people with unloading of their junk. Waste Management dumpsters have been placed onsite to dump junk, and Sam's Salvage will be hauling all scrap metal. If you're not doing anything, and would like a good work-out stop by and volunteer your time on this worthwhile event. Volunteers are very welcome to participate unloading trailers and trucks.
