Chronicle Adds Community Calendar to Website

IRONWOOD, MI - Saturday, November 15, 2008 - At the October 21, 2008, All-Boards Meeting, it was mentioned that the area needs a true community calendar where all of the area's schools, governments, organizations, etc. could post their happenings -- free of charge.

The Chronicle agrees with the concept, and understands how valuable such a resource will be to the region. Therefore, we present our newest addition to our site -- our community calendar. We urge all organizations, groups, schools, etc. to send in their events so that they can be included.

The All-In-One calendar is a compilation of three other calendars: sports, meetings, and events. We hope to include all school sports events from Hurley, Ironwood, Bessemer, Wakefield-Marenisco, Gogebic Community College in the very near future. We would also like to feature area sports leagues and other sports events. We want to feature meetings from the schools, city and county govenments, social groups, etc. and major and minor festivals, events, and gatherings.

Remember this calendar is YOUR calendar. Please feel free to use it anyway you wish. If your organization would like to "steal the code" and place a copy of the calendar on your group's website, please feel free to do so, or feel free to paste a like to our calendar on your site.
