Public Hearing Creates an Early Start for Monday's Commission Meeting
IRONWOOD, MI - Saturday, November 22, 2008 - The Ironwood City Commission will be holding a Public Hearing in addition to its Regular Meeting on Monday, November 24, 2008. The Public Hearing will begin at 5:20 PM and the Regular Meeting is scheduled to begin at 5:30 PM. Both meetings will be conducted at the City Commission Chambers on the second floor of the Ironwood Memorial Building. The Public Hearing has been added to the Commission's agenda to hear comment relative to an application for an Industrial Facilities Tax Exemption (IFT) Certificate filed by Jacquart Fabric Products, 1238 Wall Street, Ironwood, Michigan. During the Regular Meeting, the Commission is expected to conduct the following business: The Consent Agenda is a list of items that the Commission approves in one fell swoop. Generally, Consent Agenda items are mundane clerical issues that require no discussion. Occasionally, however, either Commissioners or citizens feel that Consent Agenda items are worth discussion. If that is the case, they have the right to request those items to be added to the regular agenda. There is only one Consent Agenda Item to be considered Monday:
