IEDC to Meet Wednesday

IRONWOOD, MI - Thursday, November 13, 2008 - The Ironwood Economic Development Corporation (IEDC) will hold a regular meeting on Wednesday, November 19, 2008, at 10:00 AM in the Community Development Conference Room, on the second floor of the Ironwood Memorial/Municipal Building.

Jim Huss, Bob Schonberg, Debbie Bowles will all be sworn into office at that meeting. Jim Huss is currently a member, and he has been reappointed to the board. Schonberg and Bowles are new to the IEDC and were appointed by the City Commission last month.

Next Wednesday, the IEDC is expected to discuss and consider action on the renewed purchase of a US-2 Billboard.

They will also be considering a request from Burton Industries for revolving loan dollars.

In addition, the IEDC is expected to discuss and consider action on request from Ironwood Industrial Development Corporation (IIDC) regarding debenture bonds.

Other items on the agenda include discussing and considering action on a request from IIDC to continue the web presence on The Daily Globe’s website, with funds to come from EDC; and discussing and considering action on Balloon Payment Request from Dr. Marcia Toohey.
