Indianhead Withdraws Offer to Purchase Competing Ski Resorts

WAKEFIELD, MI - Sunday, November 09, 2008 - The Superior Chronicle was informed today through a reliable source that Indianhead Mountain Resort has withdrawn its offer to purchase Blackjack Ski Resort and Big Powderhorn Mountain. The offer was withdrawn as a result of legal action taken by Ironwood City Mayor Bruce Noren and other investors who are said to have made a previous offer to purchase Big Powderhorn. Our source indicated that Indianhead was not interested in purchasing Blackjack without also purchasing Big Powderhorn.
