Several Downtown Buildings Scheduled For Facade Improvements

IRONWOOD, MI - Wednesday, October 29, 2008 - According to Community Development Director Dan Petersen the following businesses (or building owners) will soon be participating in Phase III of the project:
- Sam Misuraco, 320 South Suffolk Street - Star-Lite Construction was the low bidder for this project at $28, 345.
- Woodtech Builders, 219 Frederick Street - Woodtech Builders was the low bidder at $94,135.
- Ironwood Glass Company, 236 East McLeod Avenue - Bob Zell Construction was low bidder at $5,975.
- Swanson Studios, 113 South Suffolk Street - Ironwood Glass was the low bidder with a bid of $3,859.
- Gordon Bye, 220-222 East Aurora Street - Bob Zell submitted a low bid of $27,300.
- Gogebic/Regal Mechanical, 119 South Suffolk Street - Bob Zell had the low bid with $28,800.
- Old Suffolk Ale House, 123-125 South Suffolk Street - Bob Zell submitted a low bid of $25,400.
- Triple L, 101-107 North Lowell Street - Bob Zell had low bid with $27,320.
The first two phases of the program have resulted in over $660,000 in improvements to the downtown. To date, six business facades have been completed through the program: (1) Pizza King Joe's; (2) Mattson's TV and Appliance Store; (3) Northlight Photography; (4) Creative Spirits (5) the Uptown Cafe and (6) Coleman Engineering.
