Knight Club Billiards Opens for the Season

IRONWOOD, MI - Sunday, October 05, 2008 - The Knight Club Billiards and Arcade opened for the season on Wednesday, October 01, 2008. The pool room is one of the City's oldest continually operating business establishments. This year represents the thirtieth year of operations for the building's current owner Jim Albert. The building was originally built in 1950, by Sam and Mike Khoury, and the basement billiard establishment originally opened that same year.

The pool room features four full-sized regulation 4-1/2 foot by 9 foot Brunswick Gold Crown III pocket billiard tables and one 5 foot by 10 foot Brunswick Gold Crown III snooker table. At one time the Gold Crown table was considered the "Cadillac" of pool tables. In addition to the regulation tables, the Knight Club features two 3-1/2 foot by 7 foot Valley coin-op tables.

Customers can get their favorite snacks and non-alcoholic beverages at the hall as well. There is a large selection of board and card games for those that just want to sit back and relax with friends.  The Knight Club sells cues, cases, and cue accessories as well as pool tables and related equipment. The nearest pool hall to west of Ironwood is in Rhinelander, Wisconsin. The nearest pool hall to the east is in Iron Mountain, Michigan.

In the coming weeks in-house 8-ball, 9-ball, straight pool, and football pool leagues and tournaments will be forming.

If you're looking for a clean, well-lit, smoke-free, alcohol-free, adult-supervised place for the family, stop by the Knight Club tonight! The current hours are from 6:00 PM until midnight nightly, but there are plans to begin opening at noon daily.
