City to Hold Public Input Session / Open House on Skateboard Equipment Proposals
IRONWOOD, MI - Wednesday, October 29, 2008 - The City of Ironwood will be having a public input session/open house on Monday, November 3, 2008 from 5:00 PM until 6:00 PM in the Community Development Conference Room of the Ironwood Memorial/Municipal Building, 213 South Marquette Street, Ironwood, Michigan. At this time there will be an opportunity for members of the public to weigh in on the design and equipment of the skateboard park proposals that were recently received by the City. The City received a total of twelve (12) proposals from three different companies. This event will compliment the input that the City has received from community youth by going into the Ironwood Public School System. The concrete slab for the skateboard park – which was generously donated by Moyle Construction and Ruotsala Concrete –has been poured, and the City looks forward to enhancing the recreational opportunities it can offer. If you are interested in skateboarding, recreation, or would like to learn about the proposals the City received, please come and provide us with your input! The Parks and Recreation Committee will be meeting immediately following the input session/open house to discuss the input that was received. |
