Canadian Mining Company Eyes Ontonagon Mine Site

ONTONAGON, MI - Friday, September 12, 2008 - Orvana Minerals of Toronto, Canadian has entered into a mineral lease in Ontonagon County. Known as the Copper Wood Project, the company now has the rights to 771 acres 18 miles south of the closed White Pine facility as well as an option on mineral rights for an additional 2300 acres. Company officials say the area is of interest because of its copper deposit. They will soon be investing in environmental studies for water and other resources for the permitting process.
