Travel With Caution on Pine Street

IRONWOOD, MI - Monday, September 08, 2008 - A yellow bucket with a rock on top warns passing motorists of a sinkhole in the middle of Pine Street. The hole resulted from the installation of a fire hydrant on the street. Recent heavy downpours have washed away the gravel the once filled the hole.

The rainwater also appears to be undermining the street. DPW crews will address this problem before it worsens. In the meantime, please exercise caution when driving, walking or biking down Pine Street.
