Revaluation Field Work Has Begun

IRONWOOD, MI - Monday, September 29, 2008 -Representatives from Accurate Appraisal have begun their field work/property inspections as part of the 2008 city revaluation. Accurate Appraisal representatives can be identified by a name badge and company logos on their vehicles. Inspections will occur from 8:00a.m. to 8:00p.m. Monday thru Friday.

It will take approximately 10 minutes for Accurate Appraisal to view your property. The inspection of the interior of your house will consist of:
• Quality of Construction of the Home
• Age of the Home
• Count of the Number of Bedrooms/Bathrooms
• Type of Heating, A/C units
• Size of Basement and confirmation of any finished areas in the basement
• Total Square Feet of Living Area
• Quality of Kitchens and Baths
• Photo of property exterior

The inspection of the exterior of your house will consist of:
• Measurements of the outside of your house
• Age and measurements of any detached outbuildings/garages/sheds
• Condition of roof, siding, and windows

If you are not at home upon the initial visit, Accurate Appraisal will send you a letter with a self addressed postcard requesting information in regards to your property. Please complete this and return at your earliest convenience. The revaluation will not affect your taxes as the Taxable value will not be changing, only the State Equalized Value will be changed.
