Ironwood Township Volunteer Fire Department to Hold Car Wash Saturday

IRONWOOD TOWNSHIP, MI - Wednesday, April 08, 2009 - The Ironwood Township Volunteer Fire Department (ITVFD) will be sponsoring a car wash on Saturday, April 11, 2009 from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the Township Fire Hall on Lake Road. Vollwerth's All beef wieners, soda and coffee will be available. According to the weather forecast, it should be a very nice day Saturday, so it would be the ideal time to get your vehicles cleaned up for the Easter holiday. Donations will be accepted. All proceeds will go toward the purchase of new SCBA's (self-contained breathing apparatus). These are the air packs that allow firefighters to safely fight fires and enter building to rescue trapped individuals. The ITVFD's old units were outdated and the new ones are tested and certified to the new standards.
