Ironwood Chamber Sponsors Half-Day Business Workshops

IRONWOOD, MI - Monday, April 27, 2009 - The Ironwood Chamber of Commerce will be sponsoring two half-day workshops on Thursday, May 14, 2009, in the Gogebic Community College Lindquist Center Cafeteria, E4946 Jackson Road, Ironwood, Michigan.

The first workshop entitled "7 Keys to Surviving & Thriving" (for businesses and organizations in touch with economic times) will begin at 8:00 AM and continue until 11:30 AM. According to Albert Einstein, "The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, expecting different results!"  According to the promotional literature provided by the Chamber, "If you're planning to help your business or organization survive these trying times around the words, 'I hope or I wish...' or if you would like some real life ideas on how to not only survive but THRIVE, then this workshop is for you. Change is inevitable -- growth and survival are not! Here is YOUR OPPORTUNITY to do something positive and take a step forward by attending this half day workshop."

The workshop will cover: Managing Yourself (This is where it all starts!); Solving Problems as a team and thinking creatively; Cutting Expenses (and IMPORTANT ONES not to cut!); Increasing Revenues and/or margins; Building Relationships with Key Partners; Retaining Customers and attracting new ones; and Developing YOUR plan to make some NEEDED CHANGES.

This is a very participation-oriented learning experience. It is not just a theory. You can start using these ideas immediately. At our workshop, you will get to "PRACTICE WHAT WE PREACH!" We GUARANTEE you will leave with ideas that will FAR EXCEED the cost of the workshop!

WHO SHOULD ATTEND? Owners, managers and key employees with responsibility and authority to make necessary changes and move forward! "The best way to predict the future is to create it!" -- Peter Drucker

The second workshop will begin at 1:00 PM and lasts until 4:30 PM. It is entitled "Do you 'WOW' your customers?"

In that workshop, you will learn: The top ten service mistakes customers hate; the top ten service details that customers rave about; the magic words customer love to hear as well as those they despise; handling problems and angry customers -- how to be a fantastic fixer; understanding and using nine communication techniques; how to identify, meet and then exceed customer expectations; how to remember names and other important details; and how to create that "wow" experience and dazzle your customers.

Both workshops are sponsored by the Ironwood Area Chamber of Commerce, and Joe Constance, President of Constant Training will facilitate them. Joe has experienced both a tremendous amount of success as well as significant failures in his career and so he brings with him many "front line" experiences to share relating to customer service and his life in general. Thousands of participants have attended his workshops and rated them to be outstanding.

Participation in both workshops is limited so reserve your space today! The cost for each workshop is $59.00 per person (at the door) or $49 if you register by May 9, 2009. Each participant will receive a free customer service book.
