Downtown to Gain Two New Businesses In May
IRONWOOD, MI - Wednesday, April 15, 2009 - Rick and Lori Lanctoe, owners of the Last Tangle Plaza on Douglas Boulevard in Downtown Ironwood are pleased to announce the opening of two new businesses. On May 1st, the left side of the former Xpress Fitness space in the plaza will be the new home of the Last Tangle Beauty Shop, a store that will feature a wide variety of beauty supplies, cosmetics, beauty aids, and related equipment. The right side of the space will house a new meat market that will be owned and operated by Matt Weber. The Old World Meat Market will feature quality cuts of meat as well as a selection of beer and wine for take-out. Because of the nature of the two soon-to-open businesses, this reporter has dubbed them to be "Downtown's Beauty and the Beast." Work crews have been busy remodeling the space to accommodate the two new businesses. The Lanctoes are very pleased to have Old World Meats as a new tenant in their building. Having a quality meat market in the downtown will be a very valuable asset to the district. It will be a nice compliment to the Northwind Natural Foods Store, the downtown's only grocery store, that is just up the road on Suffolk Street. The new Beauty Shop will be a nice compliment to the Last Tangle Salon that has been in operation for many years in the plaza. These two new businesses can only help the struggling Downtown by attracting new customers to the District. The Chronicle wishes Mr. Weber and the Lanctoes much success in their new ventures. |
