NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING - Ironwood Planning Commission

IRONWOOD, MI - Wednesday, April 22, 2009 - NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a Public Hearing will be held by the Ironwood Planning Commission on Wednesday, May 6, 2009 beginning at 5:15 PM, City Commission Chambers, 2nd Floor, Memorial Building, 213 South Marquette Street, Ironwood, Michigan.

The purpose of the hearing is to introduce and hear comment on Ordinance Number 468, Book 4 an Ordinance to entirely repeal existing Chapter 34 (entitled “Zoning”), including sections 34-1 through 34-495, and to adopt in place thereof new sections which shall be designated as Chapter 34,Section 34-1 through Section 34-530, together with the table of contents and all subsections thereof and to be Chapter 34 (entitled “Zoning”), of the City of Ironwood Code of Ordinance.

Interested persons will have the opportunity to be heard at the time and place announced in this notice. No hearsay or individual surveys will be accepted as testimony; only written or oral presentations will be acknowledged. Written commented can be submitted to the Ironwood Planning Commission, Memorial Building, 213 South Marquette Street, Ironwood, MI 49938, prior to the scheduled Public Hearing; they may also be faxed to (906) 932-5745. A copy of proposed ordinance is on file and available for public inspection in the City Clerk’s Office, Memorial Building, 213 South Marquette Street, Ironwood, MI during normal business hours (7:30 AM to 4:00 PM).
