Saxon Harbor Fish Cleaning House Nears Completion

SAXON HARBOR, Thursday, April 23, 2009 - The stainless steel fish cleaning table is in place and ready for installation at the new fish cleaning station being constructed by members and volunteers of the Saxon Harbor Boating Club.  The new fish cleaning station will be a valuable addition to the Harbor by giving local anglers a place to clean their fish and properly dispose of the fish entrails. The new cleaning table will funnel fish waste to a grinder and then route it to a holding tank which can be pumped out when needed. The new handicapped accessible building gives visitors to the area one more reason to fish Lake Superior at Saxon Harbor. The Boating Club and volunteers have every reason to be proud of their latest project.
