CORRECTION: Trifles & Treats Has NOT Closed Its Doors

IRONWOOD, MI - Wednesday, April 15, 2009 - EDITORIAL CORRECTION - In an editorial I posted on Monday, April 13, 2009, regarding the Downtown Incubator Program, I mistakenly stated that Trifles & Treats on Cloverland Drive had closed down. I made the mistake of trusting a source that I felt was reliable without first verifying the facts. On behalf of the Superior Chronicle and myself, I deeply regret the error, and I sincerely hope that my misstatements didn't cause any one any inconvenience or any harm. The archive of the editorial has been corrected, and the misstatement has been removed.

Over the past year and a quarter that we have been online, I have grown to trust and rely on certain sources for my information. In the past, I have always checked and double checked those sources, however. I will chalk this up as a lesson learned that any and all sources need to be continually verified. Note to self: It is much more important to have the facts correct than to be the first with a story.
