Don't Miss the Smokin' Theatre Benefit Thursday

IRONWOOD, MI - Tuesday, August 25, 2009 - Kathy & The Boys return to the Ironwood Stage this Thursday, August 27 at 7:30 PM and have invited some very talented musicians and soloists to share the spotlight and their passion to support the Ironwood Theatre. This group will not only “highly” entertain country fans, but will also attempt to raise much needed funds for the Ironwood Theatre.

The State of Michigan has eliminated Grant monies for Performing Arts Centers, which greatly affects the programming of the Ironwood Theatre and the surrounding communities it serves.

For this concert, Kathy will not only perform the greatest hits of Patsy Cline but will also sing 2 duets of Johnny Cash/June Carter with Brian and will take an exciting side step into some Country Blues, singing a couple of Bonnie Raitt hits.

Brian Ciesielczyk will sing a Johnny Cash hit, duet with Kathy, and play bass and acoustical guitar for almost every tune of the concert.

Rick Clements and his son, Cole (9 years of age) will share performing on drums. Cole will also solo drum.

Kyle Anderson, will dazzle folks with his “lightning fingers” piano playing.

Invited Guest Performers:

Kevin Maki (Lowell Street Band member) and his wife, Debbie, will sing duets by Rascal Flatts and Carrie Underwood; Shania Twain and Bryon White. Kevin will play the piano for these numbers.

Keith Cannon (member of Lowell Street Band & Xtra) and his daughter, Veronica, will perform the songs of Jewel and Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young. Keith will also play lead guitar for a Bonnie Raitt number performed by Kathy.

Ron Smith (member of the Ranch Boys) will perform a Country duet with Kathy and solo a Chris Kristopherson spiritual. Ron will play lead guitar for these numbers.

Bob Michaels (Former member of Lowell Street Band & Thyme Peace) will solo a Chuck Berry tune, Neil Young tune, and sing harmony for the Bonnie Raitt; Crosby, Stills, Nash, & Young tunes. Bob will play his harmonica and acoustic guitar.

The entire group will perform and dedicate the final number to the brave men and women of our Armed Forces; Lee Greenwood’s – God Bless the USA.
