Stoffel's Country Store Is Expanding
HURLEY, WI - Tuesday, August 04, 2009 - Ron and Laurie Stoffel, owners of Stoffel's Country Store, located at 5496 West U.S. Highway 2 in Hurley, are proud to announce that they are expanding their business. A 3,000 square foot additon is being added to the existing 2,000 square foot building. The Stoffels told the Chronicle that business has been extremely good thanks to local customer support. Their hope is that the newly expanded store will better serve their loyal patrons. The store is a family run operation. Ron and Laurie and their son Dan tend to basic store operations. The store is the area headquarters for pet foods, supplies and equipment. They feature bird feeders and bird seed; dog, cat and bird supplies; horse feed and supplies; cattle and pig feed; poultry supplies; treats and toys for dogs and cats; fencing; kennels (both indoor and outdoor); jewelry and gifts. This year they added a greenhouse and they feature farm, lawn, and garden supplies. With the new addition, the store will be adding tropical fish, aquariums and fish food & supplies. Ron and Laurie are very involved in the area community. They supply -- at a considerable discount -- H.O.P.E. Animal Shelter with food and supplies for the shelter's animals. They are members of the Iron County Fair Board and this year they have purchased the Grand Champion steer; pig; lamb and youth pie. The general contractor for the new addition is Geno Gentile Construction. Gogebic Range Bank assisted the business with financing, and all subcontractors are local. Store hours are from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM Monday through Friday and 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Saturday and Sunday. For more information call Stoffel's Country Store at (715) 561-3344.
