911 Committee to Hold Special Meeting Wednesday

BESSEMER, MI - Monday, February 16, 2009 - A special Gogebic County Enhanced 9-1-1 Committee meeting will be held on Wednesday, February 18, 2009, at 1:00 PM, at the Grand View Hospital, Conference Room B, Ironwood.

The Committee will be making decisions about possible millage or surcharge ballot proposals for the May 5th School Election. They will also be discussing the pros and cons of establishing a Gogebic County 911 Dispatch versus staying with Negaunee's Emergency Dispatch. Should Gogebic County opt to create their own stand-alone service between five and ten dispatchers would be hired locally.
