City Commission to Have Early Start This Evening to Discuss Fire Recovery

IRONWOOD, MI - Monday, February 9, 2009 - The Ironwood City Commission will meet at 5:20 PM tonight to hold a public hearing prior to the regular meeting at 5:30. The purpose of the public hearing is to discuss a Fire Department Recovery Program that would allow the IPSD to bill residents (or their household insurance company) for the costs incurred during a fire.

The regular meeting will begin at 5:30 PM. Two main issues will be discussed and considered during the regular meeting -- passage of an Outdoor Furnace Ordinance and a change in the number of members on the Planning Commission from nine down to seven.
