Gogebic Range Relay for Life to Kick-Off March 2nd

IRONWOOD, MI - Wednesday, February 18, 2009 - Now is the time to mark your calendars for this year’s Relay for Life. For the fourth year in a row, Relay will be held at Gogebic Community College on June 12 & 13. This year the theme will be ‘Relaying through the Decades’. Teams will focus their fundraising and campsites around the decades of the ‘50’s through the 90’s.

Gogebic county residents will kick-off the 13th Annual American Cancer Society’s Relay for life on Monday, March 2nd, at 6:30 PM at Tacconelli’s in Downtown Ironwood.

Please join us if you are interested in joining a team, becoming a team captain, fundraising or receiving more information on how to get involved in this year’s event. Refreshments will be served and prizes will be given away.

The Relay Committee will also be holding a team captain’s interest meeting on Tuesday, February 24th, at 6:00 PM at the Comfort Inn in Ironwood, for those returning from previous years and those interested in starting a new team.
