City Commission to Consider Waiving Civic Center Water Bill Monday
IRONWOOD, MI - Saturday, January 10, 2009 - The Ironwood City Commission is scheduled to meet on Monday evening, January 12, 2009, at 5:30 PM in the City Commission Chambers on the second floor of the Ironwood Memorial Building, 213 South Marquette Street, Ironwood. According to the agenda, only one issue will be discussed. The Pat O'Donnell Civic Center is requesting that the City waive their rather substantial outstanding water bill.
The consent agenda (items that generally require no discussion), of course, has the approval of the minutes from the last City Commission meeting; the review and placing on file of the minutes from the December 3, 2008 Ironwood Planning Commission (IPC) meeting and the Pat O'Donnell Civic Center (POCC) meeting of November 24, 2008. Also on the consent agenda are the scheduling of four Public Hearings: (1) Monday, January 26, 2009 at 5:00 PM - a Board of Zoning Appeals (BOZA) for E. Jack and Helen Fashbaugh, dimensional variance request; (2) Monday, January 26, 2009 at 5:05 PM - Ordinance to Regulate Outdoor Furnaces; (3) Monday, January 26, 2009 at 5:20 PM - repeal existing Planning Commission Ordinance and enact a new Planning Commission Ordinance; and (4) Friday, February 09, 2009 at 5:20 - introduce an ordinance to initiate a Fire Department Cost Recovery Program. |
