Significant Improvement in Ironwood's Water Situation

IRONWOOD, MI - Sunday, January 11, 2009 - 3:15 PM - The Chronicle just received the following press release from the Emergency Operations Center at the Ironwood Public Safety Department: The water situation in Ironwood has improved significantly. All areas on the City of Ironwood water system now have running water and all hydrants have been flushed. If you are experiencing dirty water or low pressure, it is recommended to let you water run until it is clear and you obtain pressure.

If the condition does not improve, contact the Ironwood Public Safety Department or the Ironwood Memorial Building at 906-932-5050 during regular business hours.

The water boil advisory is still in effect until further notice.
