EDITOR'S NOTE: The information listed in this article was not officially released to the Chronicle. It is based on information appearing in an ad that the City purchased in the Ironwood Daily Globe. The City of Ironwood continues to discriminate against the Chronicle by refusing to release information in a fair and equal manner. While the Chronicle has routinely published press releases from the City at absolutely no cost -- they still refuse to supply information to this news service -- in favor of wasting City taxpayers' dollars on paid ads in the Ironwood Daily Globe. Last year alone, the City paid over $10,000 to the Globe "advertising" information the Globe should have published as "news" free-of-charge as a community service.
