Saxon Harbor Fishing at It's Finest

SAXON HARBOR, WI - Wednesday, January 21, 2009 - Fishing continues to be good out of Saxon Harbor. Pictured above is George Witt sharing a laugh with the Wisconsin D.N.R. officers after a license check. (In the photo he demonstrates his much practiced and highly specialized "Game Warden Greeting.") The ice formation on the breakwall looks like a giant coke bottle. Pictured in the parking lot after a morning on the ice are fishing partners Richard Kinnunen and Chuck Vitton. Richard is holding a beautiful 27" Brown Trout and a Laker. Chuck is holding a much larger than normal 26" Herring. They also had a nice catch of other smaller Herring.
