DowntownThrift Store Adds Coffee Shop
IRONWOOD, MI - Wednesday, July 22, 2009 - The Gogebic Area Thrift Store on the corner of Ayer and Lowell Streets in downtown Ironwood has a new addition. A new coffee shop, tentatively named Copper Grounds Coffee has been added to the former senior citizen center building. The new coffee shop is currently open as self-serve only from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM Monday through Saturday. The shop will be fully open by the fall. The Gogebic Area Thrift Store, also open from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, is jam-packed with clothes, household goods, books, games, furniture, you name it! Owners are Keith Larson and Gail Johnston. Johnston was appointed to the Downtown Ironwood Development Authority (DIDA) at the most recent City Commission meeting. She will be officially sworn into office at tomorrow morning's DIDA meeting.
