Ironwood Volunteer Fire Department Holds Hardwood Raffle

IRONWOOD, MI - Thursday, July 16, 2009 - "Beat the high cost of heating this coming winter without all of the hard work!"

The Ironwood Volunteer Fire Department is holding a fund raising raffle for 4 short cords of seasoned hardwood.

"People are always very generous in their support of us and our projects and we especially appreciate it in these very difficult economic times. With the price of heating fuel so uncertain these days and with so many area residents burning wood as either a primary or backup source of winter heat, we thought this might be an inexpensive opportunity for someone to get a head start on their winter wood pile at a good price!"

Tickets are available from now until the time of the drawing, October 15, 2009 at 6:00 PM from any Ironwood Volunteer Firefighter, at the Ironwood Water Department office and at select merchants who are displaying a sign. You need not be present to win.

Funds raised will be used to support various programs of the Ironwood Volunteer Fire Department.
