Next Generation Update to Be Held April 8th

HURLEY, WI - Monday, March 30, 2009 - A week from Wednesday (April 8th) we will be holding our first “Next Generation Initiative” update to hear what each of the four work-groups have been up to since December.

I will also share the results of a second survey that went to people who grew up here, moved away and have not returned. It’s interesting to note that 55% of these people would like to return and 45% would not – what’s really interesting is what distinguishes these two groups of people.

Please help keep this important initiative to retain and attract young people going forward by coming to this meeting. And please try to bring somebody new along with you – a friend or family member, a neighbor or co-worker, or maybe even one of your local elected officials. We will offer some background to the overall initiative to help new people understand the context we are working under. The more people that are exposed to these new ideas and see all the good things that are beginning to happen, the more successful this effort will be.

The update will be held on Wednesday, April 8th, 6:00 PM in the cafeteria at Gogebic Community College – refreshments will be served (courtesy of Extreme Tool and Engineering – thank you Mike!).

Hope to see you then,

Will Andresen
